White 8 is a 27-bed adult general medicine inpatient unit, located in Boston, MA. The unit serves patients from culturally diverse backgrounds and geographic areas that present with acute and complex medical problems. Patients are generally admitted to our unit from the Emergency Department or as a transfer from one of the intensive care units. The unit is in search of a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Patient Care Associate (PCA) in White 8.

Schedule:

-Days (7am-7pm), and Nights (7pm-7am)   
-Mandatory holiday shifts schedule.  
-8hr and 12hr shifts available  
-Must be able to provide weekend coverage every month       Weekly Salary   Shift differential for evening, nights, and weekends    Employee Perks;

** Job Summary
** Summary  Working under the direction of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
Yes    Essential Functions  
-Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes and outputs with accuracy and within established time frame and/or as requested.
-Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
-Interacts with patients and their families effectively.
-Helps patients with a number of basic hygiene tasks.
-This may include bathing and dressing patients, helping them use the toilet if needed and feeding them.
-Assists with helping patients turn and reposition themselves in bed as needed and help them move between the bed and a wheelchair if they use one.
-Listens to any health concerns patients may have and report those concerns to the nurses.
