Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Massachusetts with required MA RN license and inpatient OR scrub experience.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting with 17 operating rooms,

• Handles surgical services including general, GYN, GU, oral, oto, bariatrics, ortho, neuro, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, plastics, podiatry, robotics, pediatrics, trauma, and spine cases,

• Works 12-hour evening shifts, 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.,

• Required to work every third weekend as needed and every other holiday,

• One call shift per schedule period,

• May float to Moakley OR as needed,

• Operates in a Level 1 Trauma environment,

Job Requirements

• Active and current MA RN license required at time of consideration,

• BLS certification required,

• Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient OR experience required,

• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma hospital strongly preferred,

• Scrub experience in the operating room required,

• Competency in at least 5 of the listed surgical specialties required,

• Must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B,

• Must maintain a positive attitude, flexibility, and excellent communication skills,

• Must demonstrate competency in surgical specialties such as neuro and vascular in addition to general, GYN, and GU,

• Holiday rotation required,

• Monthly parking fees may apply for onsite parking,

• Two professional references required including at least one from a manager with recent performance evaluation,

• References from another traveler will not be accepted,

• One reference evaluation must be within 12 months and the other within 3 years,

• First time travelers will be considered,

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers except for sterile processing unit roles,
