Under general supervision, provides expanded and advanced level medical assistant duties. Identifies and resolves concerns regarding patient satisfaction, patient flow, and compliance with procedures and guidelines. Provides direct clinical and clerical support to clinicians and works to improve clinical efficiencies by determining urgency and priority of walk‑ins, add‑on patients, and patient consults.
Responsibilities- Perform expanded and advanced level medical assistant duties.
- Identify and resolve concerns regarding patient satisfaction, patient flow, and compliance with procedures and guidelines.
- Provide direct clinical support to one or more clinicians.
- Back up support staff as needed.
- Improve clinical efficiencies by determining urgency and priority of walk‑ins, add‑on patients, and patient consults.
- High School diploma or equivalency certificate and Medical Assistant Certification required;
Associate degree in medical assisting or graduate of a medical assistant certification program preferred. - American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty. - Three years clinical experience, including at least one year as a Medical Assistant (bachelor’s or associate degree may substitute for one year of experience).
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet programs; electronic medical record (EMR) experience or aptitude to master EMR required.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, time management, and organizational skills; ability to be a quick thinker and relate to all levels of staff and patients.

The hourly range for this role is $21.77 to $31.11 per hour based on full‑time employment.
