Job SummaryThe spinal cord injury fellow is a one‑year program accredited through the ACGME and filled through the MATCH. The fellow will provide patient care, participate in educational activities, and contribute to the improvement of graduate medical education.
Responsibilities & Qualifications- Provide patient care under appropriate supervision as assigned, ensuring timely documentation and attendance at patient care rounds.
- Use supervisory and support systems effectively, seeking advice and input from attending staff physicians as appropriate.
- Participate in all educational and scholarly activities, including didactic conferences, research projects, examinations, and maintenance of procedure logs.
- Develop a personal program of learning for continued professional growth, guided by teaching staff.
- Teach junior trainees and medical students within the scope of the training program when called upon.
- Submit confidential written evaluations of faculty, the program, and the overall educational experience as requested.
- Adhere to established practices, procedures, and policies of the hospital, medical/professional staff, department, and affiliated training sites.
- Participate in institutional programs, councils, or committees as appropriate.
- Abide by institutional and program‑specific resident work hours policies and accurately report all work hours.
- Comply with institutional requirements for annual health and safety training, vaccinations, and TB testing.
