Job SummaryFREE Patient Care Associate (PCA) Training and Employment Program. A paid PCA trainee program begins on March 2, 2026, with onsite interviews on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. The program requires a full commitment and a minimum of 24 hours per week. A $750.00 sign‑on bonus is offered to eligible new employees hired in PCA positions. No childcare is provided.
Responsibilities- Aid in activities of daily living (personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, toileting, dressing, feeding, turning/repositioning, sanitizing areas and equipment, etc.).
- Ensure a safe and compassionate environment for patients.
- Document aspects of care on approved forms and electronic medical records.
- Obtain and record vital signs.
- Collect specimens.
- Respond to patient and family requests.
- Assist with equipment preparation.
- Support an efficient operation of the unit and remotely monitor the safety of multiple patients using a continuous virtual monitoring system.
- Weeks 1–2 – Brigham and Women’s Hospital orientation and PCA training at the Center of Nursing Excellence, One Brigham Circle, Boston.
- Weeks 3–6 – In‑person, unit‑based skills and clinical training.
- Employment as a Patient Care Associate at BWH immediately after completion.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong patient/customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Proficient computer skills for electronic medical records.
Work Location:
75 Francis Street, onsite. Pay: hourly. Grade: 3.
