This role is a Laboratory Group Manager and Coordinator, working for the Connor and Davey laboratories. Responsibilities include technical and administrative expertise, supervision of 8–12 employees, overseeing data curation, storage, distribution of biological samples, managing shared lab resources and databases, ensuring safety compliance, and providing training to lab personnel.
Responsibilities- Provide technical and administrative expertise for wet‑lab experiments and data management.
- Supervise, guide and train laboratory personnel (8‑12 staff) on a regular basis.
- Maintain and oversee shared lab resources, work spaces and databases.
- Ensure laboratory safety compliance.
- Communicate issues and progress weekly to leadership.
- Recommend exceptions to policy and procedure as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of related experience.
- Experience in laboratory wet‑lab experiments and lab management duties.
- Technical experience in cellular/molecular sample preparation and experimental techniques.
- Experience supervising and mentoring others in a laboratory setting.
- Strong time‑management skills.
