Job SummaryOccupational Therapist OT Internal Float needed for Spaulding.
Essential Functions- Conducting assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to determine appropriate therapy interventions.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address patients' needs and goals.
- Providing ongoing therapy services to patients, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, functional training, and modalities.
- Supervising and mentoring other occupational therapists to ensure high-quality care and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Participating in professional development opportunities and staying up-to-date with advances in occupational therapy research and practice.
- Contributing to program development and quality improvement initiatives as needed.
Education: Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
Licenses and Credentials:
- Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred.
- Occupational Therapist [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred.
Experience:
- Occupational therapist experience 3-5 years required.
- Experience in a residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility 3-5 years preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work effectively with patients and co-workers.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Excellent time management skills.
