The Brigham and Women’s Hospital Division of Cardiology seeks a highly motivated Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) I to assist with ongoing and future clinical research studies involving patients with cardiac arrhythmias. The position is a full‑time (40 hours per week) role that may require occasional evening or weekend hours. The CRC I will work within a dynamic team dedicated to transforming patient care for atrial fibrillation, gaining experience in cardiac arrhythmia research, catheter ablation procedures, and implanted rhythm devices.
Responsibilities- Multi‑task and collaborate with team members in a dynamic clinical research setting.
- Participate in multicenter registry management and enroll patients in two large atrial fibrillation ablation registries.
- Review medical records extensively to identify eligible patients.
- Set up research meetings among principal investigators.
- Provide registry data entry and participate in abstract and manuscript preparation.
- Support the conduct of studies and maintain study schedules.
- Develop or contribute to modifications of existing assay techniques, experimental protocols, or new procedures.
- Synthesizes and interprets research results.
- Prepares written and/or verbal status reports.
- Performs statistical analysis and makes recommendations.
- Independently performs non‑routine, highly specialized experimental procedures.
- Composes and may present sections of research reports and manuscripts.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (required). Experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.
Experience
3–5 years in an academic or laboratory research setting (required).
