Cataldo is the largest private EMS provider and private ambulance service in Massachusetts. In addition to topping 50,000 emergency medical transportation annually through 911 contacts with multiple cities, we partner with some of Massachusetts' top medical facilities to provide non-emergency medical ambulance and wheelchair transportation services. We are also an EMS provider to specialty venues like Fenway Park, DCU Center, and TD Garden.

While Cataldo began as an ambulance service company, we continue to grow through innovation and expand the services we offer to the local communities. As a public health resource, Cataldo offers training and education to the healthcare and emergency medical community through the Cataldo Education Center. This includes certification training for new employees as well as the training needed for career advancement.

Through our partnerships with health systems, hospitals, managed care organizations, and others, we continue to provide in-home care through the state’s first and largest Mobile Integrated Health program, Smart Care. We also have delivered more than 1.7 million Covid-19 vaccines and continue to operate testing and vaccination sites throughout the state of Massachusetts.

Community Paramedics are delivering the future of healthcare by providing the right care, at the right time, in the right place. Providing an option for on-demand, in-home physician supported care, our innovative Smart Care division is improving patient outcomes, increasing patient satisfaction, and reducing the number of hospital admissions and re-admissions through community paramedicine.

Community Paramedics provide the highest levels of clinic assessment and treatment with an expanded scope of care. Patients are treated directly in their homes to reduce the need for ambulance transportation and hospital stays. Due to the nature of care needed, Smart Care professionals work as an extension of the patient’s medical team and may work closely with the same set of patients and their families.

• Deliver quality patient care in accordance with clinical policies, statewide protocol, and standards of care
• Attend to patients in a courteous and professional manner
• Monitor remote patient tracking and respond as appropriate
• Complete initial in-home assessments and on-going home visits as appropriate for all patients enrolled in Smart Care program
• Communicate effectively with EMS agencies, physicians, and other healthcare providers

• Fully state certified as an EMT-P
• Certifications in Advanced and Basic Life Support
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record through a DMV background check
• 2 years minimum experience as a Paramedic
• Be in good clinical standing
