Job SummaryAre you an experienced healthcare administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment? Join our team and play a critical role in supporting patients, providers, and practice operations while helping ensure seamless care delivery.
As a Practice Assistant III, you'll serve as a key resource within the practice, utilizing your expertise in scheduling, registration, and billing systems while supporting complex patient coordination, including surgical scheduling.
What You’ll Do- Coordinate patient appointments and maintain accurate scheduling records
- Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service throughout their visit
- Answer incoming calls, assist with routine inquiries, and schedule appointments
- Process patient forms, billing documentation, and updates to the electronic medical record
- Serve as a subject matter expert for scheduling, registration, and billing systems
- Coordinate complex scheduling activities, including surgical scheduling, provider schedule management, and template/block scheduling
- Provide training, guidance, and day-to-day support to Practice and Office Assistants
- Partner with leadership to help oversee daily practice operations and workflow
- Manage messages and requests related to prior authorizations, prescription refills, provider inquiries, and test results
- Collect co-payments when applicable
- Experience in a healthcare, physician practice, or clinical office setting
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with patient scheduling, registration, billing, and electronic medical records preferred
- Demonstrated ability to serve as a resource and mentor to team members

Strong technology and MS Office skills
- Advanced Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Knowledge of office operations and standards and understanding of office procedures including filing, copying, scanning, printing and faxing. - Ability to use phone system and manage more non-routine phone calls and solve routine issues as appropriate.
- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents, to correspond and communicate with others clearly and effectively (including composing/editing e-mail, memos and letters), and to take complete and accurate messages.
- Managing one's own time and the time of others.
- Well organized and good time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively, follow established protocols, and work within systems.
- Ability to proofread and edit written documents.
