On Call Concierge - (Overnight Shift)
At the American Cancer Society, we are working to end cancer as we know it. Our employees and 1.3 million volunteers are raising the bar every single day. This role is part‑time and will work overnight shifts at our Hope Lodge facility in Boston, MA.
Pay rate: $22.29 per hour. Additional shift differential pay:
Overnight Shift – 20% differential for hours worked between 12:00 am − 5:30 am.
- Greet guests and manage check‑in and check‑out procedures (30%)
- Provide information about lodge amenities and community resources (20%)
- Coordinate transportation & EMPOWER Program services and schedules (15%)
- Respond to guest requests, concerns, and emergencies (15%)
- Maintain organized front desk area and accurate guest records (10%)
- Monitor lobby security and implement safety protocols (10%)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Additional education or training in hospitality management or customer service is a plus.
- Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of Customer Service Experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and multitask
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and multi‑line phone systems
- Excellent customer service and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- Minimal travel required
- Extended periods of standing and walking during front desk duties and while assisting guests.
- Occasional lifting and moving of luggage, packages, or other items may be necessary.
- Manual tasks such as carrying luggage or opening doors for guests may be required.
- Physical endurance to handle a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple tasks and assisting guests throughout the day.
