The HRIS Analyst will provide analytical and technical support for Human Resources policy and program decisions. Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of human resource tools and processes associated with the collection, retrieval, accessibility, and usage of employee information. Maintains internal database files and tables and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of Human Resource management and staff.
- Collect, enter, prepare, and analyze occupational information to expedite the staffing, benefits, personnel administration and management functions of the Authority.
- Review all personnel action changes for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all wage rates, union rules, applicable state and federal statutes and Authority policies and practices.
- Develop and assist in the preparation of metrics and statistical data for HR disciplines, projects and Initiatives.
- Compile, run and distribute both periodic and ad hoc reports, charts, and graphs; determining the most efficient way to acquire and present data for various business needs as requested.
- Maintain and audit the integrity of HRIS personnel data and mass HRIS changes.
- Work with HR, Finance, IT, Labor Relations, and the Comptroller’s Office (CTR) to maintain and improve HRIS, including configuration, end-user access, security and system efficiency.
- Investigate, assess and resolve issues within the HRM software to ensure accurate and consistent data.
- Respond to each inquiry, whether from a customer, vendor, or co-worker in a courteous and professional manner.
- Assist the management team with the development of on-going analytics and reporting.
- Support HR management team with any and all other duties and projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources analysis, personnel related analysis, and/or data analysis.
- Must be detail oriented, with excellent quantitative/analytical, organizational, research and project management skills.
- Exceptional ability to gather and interpret data, as well as improve HRIS processes.
- Demonstrated advance knowledge and skills of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- The ability to pass the MBTA Advanced MS Excel test. (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc...).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate sensitive & complex information.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work interdependent and as part of a team.
- The ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.
- A High School Diploma or GED with an additional seven (7) years of directly related experience substitutes for the bachelor's degree requirement.
- An Associate's degree from an accredited institution an additional three (3) years of directly related experience substitutes for the bachelor's degree requirement.
- A Master's degree in a related subject substitute for two (2) years of general experience.
- A nationally recognized certification, or statewide/professional certification in a related field substitutes for one year of experience.
- Experience in analyzing HRIS and HR performance metrics.
- Proficient in HRM software, such as Oracle People Soft.
- Familiarity with Tableau analytical reports and/or dashboards.
- Experience with a Unionized Environment.
