Labor Relations Manager, Human Resources
Location: Boston, MA, United States
Position Type: Full-Time/Regular
Salary Range: $ - $ (Grade 50)
Labor Relations plays an integral role in the negotiation, administration, and interpretation of the University's collective bargaining agreements. The position reports to the Director of Labor Relations and supports the negotiation, administration, and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements. Working with management, staff, and union representatives, the Manager of Labor Relations will play an important role in building and maintaining a positive working environment by providing timely counseling, advice, training, and guidance on labor‑related matters such as policy and procedure development, performance management, workforce support and engagement, contractual wage and hour matters, conflict resolution, mediations, arbitrations, and labor laws.
RequiredSkills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Oral Communication
Skills:
Advanced (Juris Doctor or master’s degree in labor relations preferred, Bachelor’s degree required) - Proficiency in Writing
Skills:
Advanced - 5‑8 years of work experience in labor relations
- Understanding of labor laws, collective bargaining, and conflict resolution
