Our client, a Boston-based law firm, is hiring a Human Resources Assistant to support the HR team in hiring initiatives, retention programs, and various other HR projects. The HR Assistant role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to gain hands‑on experience across Human Resources and Professional Development. This position supports a wide range of initiatives and plays an important role in employee development, engagement, and organizational programs.
Key Responsibilities- Support the planning and execution of firmwide events, such as employee recognition programs, appreciation initiatives, and professional series
- Assist with recruiting efforts as needed, including candidate screening, interview scheduling, and drafting offer letters
- Develop and maintain a library of job descriptions
- Coordinate legal and professional skills training sessions
- Prepare mid-year and year-end attorney evaluation summaries
- Generate reports related to professional development initiatives
- Coordinate annual orientation programs for new employees and support their onboarding and integration
- College degree preferred
- 1+ year of HR-related experience in an office or professional environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
