Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in DBT, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, and data modeling. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Milliman’s Med Insight tool and a background in healthcare data (particularly provider, Medicare, and Medicaid data). This role is part of a legacy data foundation upgrade and supports both ongoing operations and new data architecture builds.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory for diverse ingestion needs
• Develop robust transformations in DBT for Snowflake-based data warehouse
• Support both legacy systems and new platform builds, ensuring seamless integration
• Integrate and operationalize data from Milliman Med Insight, aligning it with internal data models
• Collaborate on system redesign and performance optimization strategies for analytics operations
• Architect and model core data elements around providers and member populations
• Support analytics teams with reliable and efficient data structures
• Solve complex data integration challenges with a solution-oriented mindset

• Proficient in DBT (Data Build Tool)
• Strong experience with Snowflake (cloud data warehouse)
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory for data ingestion
• Skilled in data modeling (dimensional and relational models)
• Experience working with healthcare provider data, Medicare, and Medicaid datasets
• Experience with Milliman Med Insight is highly preferred

• Direct experience with Milliman Med Insight data modeling and integration
• Familiarity with Epic and other healthcare data systems
• Background in large-scale healthcare data transformation projects
• Understanding of cloud architecture best practices
