The Onboarding Specialist is a non-technical role that is responsible for managing and coordinating IT onboarding and offboarding activities for employees, ensuring smooth transitions and efficient support. This role requires strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with various teams to resolve daily non-technical issues. The position also includes providing support for a team of 3 employees.

Education: College degree is not required

Key Qualifications
  • Motivated and proactive attitude

    • Minimum intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., comfortable with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and data analysis)

    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Strong typing skills

    • Ability to work independently

    • Ownership of onboarding and offboarding processes
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide support for a team of 3 employees

    • Order laptops, phones, and other equipment; track delivery status

    • Engage with PC Lifecycle services providers and coordinate all related activities

    • Process onboarding, offboarding, and advanced replacement of laptops

    • Collaborate with other teams to resolve daily non-technical issues

    • Update user accounts in Microsoft Entra
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in IT administration or onboarding/offboarding

    • Familiarity with asset management systems or ticketing platforms

    • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities

    • Strong organizational and time management skills

    • Experience working with external vendors or service providers

    • Customer service orientation and problem-solving skills
Required Work Experience
  • 2+ years in IT support or administration, with exposure to onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Experience managing PC lifecycle and asset tracking using enterprise tools
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency applied to reporting and data analysis
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and SLA-driven support
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
