Product Manager – Platform

Join to apply for the Product Manager - Platform role at Bus Right.

At Bus Right, product is our heart. Our Product Team is led by one of our two co‑founders (CPO) and the former Head of Product. We are building a tight‑knit, high‑impact team of Product Managers who shape the future of our platform and expand our suite of mobile and web applications.

Role Overview

As the Product Manager – Platform you will be the connective tissue of the company, collaborating with sales, engineering, design and strategy. You’ll act as the glue between customer feedback and engineering, ensuring that every step we take aligns with our mission and values.

  • Ensure every product decision aligns with data insights; track engagement and performance metrics.
  • Articulate and implement customer engagement opportunities such as focus groups, design‑partner conversations and early‑access programs.
  • Serve as a product‑focused mentor for the Engineering team, including coding proof‑of‑concepts and designing use cases for testing.
Platform Focus

We’re looking for a Product Manager to take ownership of the underlying platform—systems, infrastructure and internal tooling—that supports every layer of Bus Right’s multi‑product suite.

In This Role, You’ll
  • Lead the systems, infrastructure and internal tooling that power all of Bus Right’s multi‑product suite.
  • Work closely with Engineering to build scalable, performant and resilient infrastructure for routing, real‑time bus tracking and ensure deep integration across our product layers.
  • Collaborate with Core and Growth PMs to shape the full Bus Right platform.
Your Day‑to‑Day
  • Own product areas, defining roadmaps collaboratively with product peers and serve as institutional knowledge on why features are built.
  • Grow the product suite into new customer segments by designing and implementing onboarding and performance‑related features.
  • Lead and participate in monthly agile ceremonies to foster clear communication and decision‑making.
  • Oversee successful product launches, tracking timelines, quality, stakeholder alignment and post‑launch performance.
  • Obsession with the entire product experience and how each user receives value from Bus Right.
  • Meet with customers and work closely with Customer Success to identify research opportunities; travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Provide sales with hand‑offs for new features and occasionally join prospect calls to align research and roadmap.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business, Marketing or equivalent work experience.
  • 3–4 years of product management or related experience, preferably in a startup or fast‑paced environment.
  • Proven experience establishing and refining product development processes to drive efficiency and deliver successful outcomes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to influence and build consensus across diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with a web and/or mobile‑based tech stack or Agile development methodologies.
  • Outstanding critical listening skills and ability to synthesize communications of others clearly.
  • Passion for education, deep collaboration, mission‑driven mindset, and embodiment of Bus Right values.
