Marketing Cloud Technical Lead

KPMG US is seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Lead II to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This hybrid role covers responsibilities across Marketing Cloud platform, solution design, and product integration.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the Marketing Cloud platform, solution roadmap, implementation, enhancements, release management, and support; partner with stakeholders and project teams to validate requirements.

• Determine scalable designs for Marketing Cloud solutions with heavy reliance on Sales Cloud; write SQL and Marketing Cloud automations, including AmpScript, SSJS, HTML, and CSS.

• Create round‑trip API solutions between Marketing Cloud and third‑party products, leveraging Cloud Pages and APIs where appropriate; manage Data Extension synchronization with Sales Cloud objects.

• Manage Marketing Cloud automations and journeys that populate data from data extensions into Sales Cloud with appropriate task and event creation; handle business unit deployment with and without the deployment manager.

• Supervise the Salesforce Marketing Cloud CI/CD pipeline, leveraging multiple business units synced to Sales Cloud and coordinating additional integrations as needed.

• Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years of recent experience in agile delivery methodology implementing Salesforce solutions (Marketing Cloud, Intelligence, SFMC Connector), with expert knowledge of Marketing Cloud pages, microsites, forms, and form processing.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required.

• Knowledge of SQL with complex data extensions, data views, and relationships in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

• Deep knowledge of Marketing Cloud API’s, Data Extensions, and Marketing Cloud SFTP; expertise in Marketing Cloud AmpScript and ability to leverage code snippets.

• Familiarity with Server‑Side JavaScript (SSJS) and third‑party products that connect to or are leveraged by Salesforce Marketing Cloud such as Query Studio, CVENT, Qualtrics, Return Path, Brite Verify, and the Validity product suite.

• Excellent technical leadership skills, agility, and strong business acumen to connect cross‑functionally.

• Understanding of Agile development practice and ability to develop effective responses or escalation strategies at the platform level.
