Overview
Our client, a pioneering research and development organization in Boston, Massachusetts, US, is seeking an AI Research Scientist specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to drive innovation in their AI division. The role focuses on advancing state-of-the-art language understanding, generation, and dialogue systems. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and evaluating novel algorithms and models for NLP tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, machine translation, question answering, and summarization.
The successful candidate will conduct rigorous research, publish findings in leading academic venues, and contribute to the development of next-generation AI products and services. The position requires deep knowledge of machine learning principles, deep learning architectures (e.g., Transformers, RNNs, CNNs) and NLP techniques. Experience with large language models (LLMs) and their applications is highly desirable. The role collaborates with world-class researchers and engineers, leveraging extensive datasets and computational resources.
- Develop prototypes and conduct experiments to advance NLP methods.
- Analyze experimental results and iterate on model design.
- Contribute to the overall AI strategy of the organization.
- Publish findings in top-tier NLP or AI venues and collaborate with a research team.
- Collaborate with engineers to translate research into AI products and services.
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computational Linguistics, or related quantitative field.
- A strong publication record in top-tier NLP or AI venues.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with deep learning frameworks such as Tensor Flow or PyTorch.
- Solid understanding of machine learning principles, deep learning architectures (e.g., Transformers, RNNs, CNNs), and NLP techniques.
- Experience with large language models (LLMs) and their applications is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
