Job SummaryLead comprehensive applications and web development for highly complex projects. Design, develop, and deploy state‑of‑the‑art generative AI models that directly impact our platform’s interactive and intelligent tools.
Job‑Specific Responsibilities- Build trust and collaboration by being present on‑site and engaging with colleagues and constituents.
- Develop and train AI models – Create and train machine learning models and neural networks for data analysis, natural language processing, and computer vision.
- Implement and integrate AI – Write code to integrate AI functionality into existing software and ensure seamless deployment with systems and APIs.
- Data preprocessing – Clean, prepare, and manage large datasets for training and fine‑tuning models.
- Optimize performance – Design and optimize machine learning algorithms for scalability and high performance, continuously monitoring and testing AI systems for improvement.
- Collaborate with teams – Work with data scientists, project managers, and stakeholders to identify business needs and deliver AI solutions.
- Stay updated – Keep up with the latest advancements in AI technology, tools, and trends to ensure projects remain innovative.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of seven years of post‑secondary education or relevant work experience.
- Education – A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or a related field is required.
- Programming – Strong proficiency in Python and Java.
- AI/ML Frameworks – Experience with Tensor Flow and PyTorch.
- Problem‑solving – Strong analytical and logical thinking skills to tackle complex problems.
- Collaboration – Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Cloud experience – Familiarity with cloud platforms is often beneficial.
- Appointment End Date – Term appointment with end date of June 30, 2027; possibility of renewal/extension.
- Standard Hours/Schedule – 40 hours per week.

- Other Information – This hybrid position combines remote and onsite work at our Boston, MA campus. HBS expects staff to be onsite a minimum of three days per week. Candidate interviews may be conducted virtually or in‑person. Candidates are required to complete a Take Home Assignment after clearing Technical Recruiter Screen. A cover letter is required to be considered for this opportunity.
