About the Role

This role blends manual and automated testing and plays a key part in a strategic initiative to build standardized test automation frameworks across multiple application types, including ETL, API, backend, and frontend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end testing practices including manual testing, test automation, defect management, and incident support
• Create, maintain, and enhance manual and automated test cases aligned with organization-level and domain-level specifications
• Write, maintain, and review automated test code for squad applications
• Contribute to shared test automation frameworks, ensuring consistency in patterns, style, and code quality
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and design effective test strategies
• Contribute to internal guidelines, standards, and testing policies
• Build working knowledge of the technical architecture and business domain within the squad
• Support release and deployment processes

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience with test design techniques focused on data quality and system reliability
• Experience testing web-based applications and/or ETL systems
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java (pytest experience preferred)
• Experience using version control systems (e.g., Git) for test code
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to develop scripts for automated test execution
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
