Boston - Cyber & Privacy Junior​/Midlevel Associate

Job Summary

Seeking a junior or midlevel associate with two to five years of experience handling privacy and cybersecurity matters to join our existing offices, preferably in Boston with Chamber‑ranked partner(s). The successful applicant must have experience with compliance with state and federal privacy and cybersecurity laws and demonstrated project management and client service skills. Prior experience with incident response and cybersecurity preparedness and regulatory investigations relating to privacy and cybersecurity issues is a plus.

Large law firm experience, superior academic credentials, excellent writing, organization and analytical skills are preferred. Active bar membership in the resident office required.

• Handle privacy and cybersecurity matters across the firm.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal privacy and cybersecurity laws.
• Manage projects and provide client service around privacy and cybersecurity issues.
• Respond to incidents and prepare for cybersecurity preparedness initiatives.
• Investigate regulatory matters related to privacy and cybersecurity.

For positions in MA, the salary wage range for this job posting is $225,000 to $435,000. The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs and market factors. Final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.

Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package.

The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial and other benefits, including 401(k) eligibility and paid‑time‑off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. The employee will be in an "at‑will" position, and the firm reserves the right to modify the base salary and any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program at any time for reasons related to individual performance, firm or department/team performance, and market factors.
