Job SummaryThe Senior Litigation Associate plays a critical role in managing and advancing complex civil litigation matters from inception through resolution. This position is ideal for an experienced litigator who thrives with autonomy, enjoys collaborating with seasoned partners, and is ready to take on meaningful responsibility. The role offers direct client interaction, hands‑on courtroom experience, and the opportunity to further develop leadership and trial skills within a respected litigation practice.
Responsibilities- Manage a diverse caseload of complex civil litigation matters from start to finish
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other substantive legal documents
- Take and defend depositions and actively participate in hearings and trials
- Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with partners and case teams
- Conduct legal research and prepare detailed memoranda and case analyses
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding case status and strategy
- Work with experts, opposing counsel, and internal teams to advance matters efficiently
- Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited law school
- Active admission to the Massachusetts State Bar
- 7 to 10 years of civil litigation experience
- Experience practicing in Massachusetts state and federal courts
- Proven experience managing discovery and handling depositions
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Competitive salary range of $155,000–$175,000 depending on experience
