Service Manager

Summit Search Group has been retained by Dunn Dodge Jeep Ram on the recruitment of their next Service Manager in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. The Service Manager plays a critical leadership role by overseeing the daily operations of the service department. This individual is responsible for ensuring the department delivers exceptional customer service while meeting or exceeding financial and operational goals.

Acting as the bridge between customers, service advisors, and dealership management, the Service Manager ensures a seamless service experience that fosters customer loyalty and trust. This role demands a proactive leader who can manage a dynamic team, adapt to evolving industry trends, and maintain compliance with dealership and manufacturer standards. A successful Service Manager combines technical knowledge with business acumen, providing strategic direction to the department and cultivating a positive work environment that drives both employee satisfaction and departmental efficiency.

• Deliver an excellent service experience by responding promptly to customer concerns, implementing improvements based on feedback, and building lasting trust.
• Direct the day-to-day activities of the service department, including scheduling, workflow, and resource management, to ensure efficient, high-quality results.
• Hire, train, coach, and evaluate service staff while fostering collaboration, engagement, and accountability.
• Develop and monitor the department budget, track performance indicators, and improve profitability through effective cost control and revenue generation.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements, warranty processes, and dealership policies, while upholding safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and organized workplace in line with industry regulations and health and safety guidelines.

• Post-Secondary Education in automotive technology or a related field.
• 5+ year's experience in automotive service operations.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
