Team OverviewJLL’s Sustainability Team manages the firm’s sustainability program, ensuring the firm delivers on our sustainability commitments and meets mandatory and voluntary ESG reporting requirements.
The team is seeking a Sustainability Reporting Manager to support the firm’s ESG reporting obligations. The role reports to the Senior Director, Sustainability Reporting.
This role will join a newly forming team focused on supporting JLL’s ESG reporting requirements including materiality assessment and management, program management, ESG data acquisition, data improvement projects, responding to voluntary disclosures such as Eco Vadis, CDP and others, and stakeholder engagement and planning. As a newly forming team implementing new strategies, this presents a challenging environment without established procedures and processes.
Candidates will need to possess a can-do attitude, be self-motivated, and be willing to envision, map, and implement new processes with confidence, determination and diligence. You will be part of a wider team exposed to all aspects of JLL’s sustainability program around the world.
Role Responsibilities- Support the delivery of JLL’s mandatory ESG reporting, including managing data gathering processes, documenting data flows, and engaging with internal stakeholders to acquire needed information.
- Lead stakeholder engagement efforts for ESG reporting initiatives by managing internal working groups, scorecard processes, workshops, creating documents explaining disclosure requirements, and managing processes to meet disclosure deadlines.
- Lead specific work streams within our ESG reporting roadmap, collaborate across other work streams, and coordinate engagement with corporate functions including Finance, Controllership, and Compliance to ensure alignment and timely completion.
- Develop ESG reporting expertise by monitoring updates to the disclosure standards and emerging best practices. Inform strategy updates and provide input to corporate functions as applicable.
- While this role is in a global team, it will have accountability for country-level requirements, local reporting obligations, regulatory oversight, and engagement with local teams.
- Prepare sustainability disclosures required by the CSRD, other mandatory obligations, and voluntary reporting requirements including Eco Vadis, CDP, and others.
- Support data assurance for mandatory disclosures, collaborating with JLL ESG Controller and external audit firms.
- Develop and refine voluntary and mandatory reporting strategy documents and implementation plans.
- Support CSRD-aligned materiality assessments.
- Support the internal process to manage issues, risks, and opportunities aligned with ESRS standards.
- 5+ years of sustainability experience, with a strong preference for experience in a corporate sustainability team (ideally for a Fortune 500 or similar company with a global footprint.)
- Experience preparing ESG reports or disclosures.
- Experience planning and managing multi‑stakeholder projects, including the ability to steer and coordinate internal stakeholders, develop engagement materials and plans, and drive stakeholder meetings/processes to deliver results.
- Familiarity with ESG data collection, management, and reporting technologies such as Microsoft Sustainability Manager and Workiva.
- Understanding of and experience working with ESG data spanning environmental, social, and governance metrics.
- Experience collaborating with external auditors for limited assurance.
- Confident decision maker with strong analytical skills and solution development capabilities.
- Experience and proven track record of establishing new enterprise processes in large, diverse organizations.
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to develop relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to drive consistency in a team or on a project while working at speed.
- Ability to document interactions and follow established work processes to track and report program progress.
- Proficiency using project management tools such as project charters, scorecards, Gantt charts, and risk registers.
