A premier law firm is seeking a Director of Professional Development to oversee the design and execution of impactful learning and career development initiatives for attorneys. • A strategic leader with deep expertise in legal talent development and a passion for cultivating high-performing teams
• You hold a bachelor’s degree (JD or advanced degree strongly preferred) and bring 10+ years of relevant experience in professional development
• Experienced in designing and delivering impactful learning programs for attorneys across all career stages
• Skilled in managing people, projects, and priorities in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
• Adept at building trust and credibility with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams

• Lead a team of professional development professionals and foster a collaborative, service-driven culture
• Design and implement firm-wide learning programs that support attorney growth and career progression
• Oversee milestone training retreats and individualized learning plans for associates
• Partner with firm leadership to align training with performance goals and talent strategies
• Manage CLE compliance and monitor training effectiveness using defined metrics
• Champion modern learning technologies and scalable delivery methods across offices
• Travel regularly to firm offices to assess local needs and promote engagement

• Learning programs are aligned with firm goals and consistently deliver measurable impact

Salary Range: $210,000 – 220,000 annually, based on experience

Location:

Boston, MA – Hybrid, with regular travel required
