Job Description & How to Apply Below

Bevi is on a mission to transform how beverages are delivered and consumed. Our connected beverage platform eliminates the need for single-use bottles and cans, making it easy, fun, and sustainable to stay hydrated. As the category leader in IoT-enabled beverage technology, we're building a future where Bevi machines are everywhere people live, work, and connect. We've raised over $160M in venture capital, serve thousands of customers across the US, Canada, UK and Ireland, and we've been rapidly growing year over year, saving over 1 billion bottles from waste.

In addition to driving hypergrowth with our current product line, Bevi is heavily investing in new product development.

We are hiring a Director of Program Management to lead Bevi's central PMO. The PMO runs our new product introduction (NPI) programs from concept to launch. The team includes five program managers and sits in Operations, reporting to the COO.
This is a leadership role and a hands-on one. You will lead and develop the team, set the standard for how Bevi runs hardware programs, and run one of our most important NPI programs yourself. Our goal is to reduce our NPI cycle time with a higher predictability and quality. This role is central to getting there.

Your Day to Day

Lead the PMO

  • Lead, coach and grow a team of program managers running complex, cross-functional hardware programs.
  • Set the standard for how Bevi runs NPI programs and hold the team to it.
  • Own Bevi's phase gate process. Each gate ends in a clear go, no-go or recycle decision, and open items carry forward with owners.
  • Lead by example, taking on NPI programs directly as needed while building the team.
  • Make sure every program has an aggressive, credible schedule that the team believes in and that is updated every week.
  • Name risks early, assign owners and track the inputs that drive them: drawings, test results, open decisions and supplier dates.
  • Base status on evidence (test data, released drawings, placed POs), not verbal updates. Raise issues before dates are missed, with options.
  • Get the right people in the room to make decisions, and log them.
  • Report program status to the leadership team and the Board.

Work across the company

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Service and Sales so programs launch at target quality, cost and supply readiness.
  • Work with the leadership team and Product on portfolio priorities. Make resource and schedule tradeoffs visible so they can decide.
  • Manage programs that involve contract manufacturers and design partners, including partners in Asia.

Make the PMO more efficient

  • Keep core teams small and meetings focused on decisions and issues.
  • Move program information to one system of record, so status is updated once and every report pulls from it.
  • Use automation and AI to cut the time PMs spend compiling updates.
  • Run post-program reviews and use what we learn to improve the playbook.
Requirements
  • 10+ years in program management, including at least 5 years leading a team of program managers.
  • A track record of taking connected hardware products through EVT, DVT, PVT and production launch. Experience across electro-mechanical, firmware and app components.
  • Experience in consumer, commercial or appliance-type hardware products.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers on new product launches.
  • Comfort setting aggressive schedules and running them with discipline: risk tracking, evidence-based status and early escalation.
  • Clear, direct communication with executives and cross-functional teams.

Preferred

  • Experience with contract manufacturers or ODM partners in Asia.
  • Startup or high-growth company experience.
  • Experience building or rebuilding a PMO, including phase gate processes and portfolio reporting.
  • Familiarity with Agile methods for firmware and software work.
  • Engineering or technical degree.
