The Shipper / Receiver is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all products that are received and/or shipped out during the assigned shift. They will work in three main functions: receiving, inventory control and cooler operations and shipping, following company guidelines for quality control, safety, and standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities- Assist with the flow of goods; shipping and receiving of product.
- Obtain and process product orders.
- Receive, register, and distribute packages and letters within the company.
- Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items.
- Assist with large shipments and planning of the logistics to ensure sufficient storage space for incoming items.
- Keep files of goods shipped and received.
- Ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location, on time.
- Assist with ensuring that quality, quantity, and customer satisfaction are met.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of coolers and warehouse orders.
- Tracking and reporting to leadership: back-orders short-list items, and unfulfilled orders.
- 1+ years experience in a shipping or receiving position.
- 1+ years experience operating forklifts.
- Experience in food manufacturing; seafood or meat processing is a plus.
- Fork-lift certification required.
- Able to operate company inventory equipment (such as scan guns). Required.
- Ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to provide support to department managers to achieve goals.
- Able to maintain an environment that drives performance and a safe workplace.
- Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds.
- Work up to a 10-hour workday: standing/walking most of the day.
- Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
- Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
- Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
