Now, the Alumni Engagement and Operations team is looking for a Digital Marketing Campaign Specialist who will build and execute digital ad campaigns for Boston University Advancement using mobile, social, and web platforms.

Reporting to the Director of Alumni Communications & Marketing, this position is part of a high‑performing and collaborative team that designs, develops, and maintains robust alumni and donor marketing campaigns. The successful candidate will be creative, data‑driven, and detail‑oriented, responsible for the end‑to‑end execution of omni‑channel marketing campaigns, including managing copy and creative assets, monitoring and optimizing campaign performance, and ensuring deliverability to successfully grow engagement and retention of Boston University alumni and friends.

Responsibilities
  • Build, manage, monitor, and optimize campaigns on mobile, social, and web channels to drive alumni engagement and donations.
  • Take ownership of all campaign activations and ensure their successful execution.
  • Iterate on campaign design and copy to produce creative and engaging ad sets.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and client‑partners to understand campaign objectives and requirements and ensure messaging is consistent across channels.
  • Perform quality assurance testing before activating customer journeys.
  • Monitor campaigns to ensure deliverability and optimal performance.
  • Create and deploy regular paid ads on Google, Meta, Linked In, paid search, and other channels as needed.
  • Create and deploy lead generation campaigns.
  • Track and report on campaign performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, Hub Spot, or similar.
  • Approach projects and tasks with curiosity and an appreciation for working hard toward goals that matter.
  • Serve all stakeholders with integrity and mutual respect while consistently modeling the importance of both task competency and relationships.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in marketing, communications, or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing trends; data‑driven; strong reporting skills.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration, with the ability to initiate and complete multiple concurrent projects under deadlines.
  • Creative and organized with strong commitment to quality and consistency.
  • Technical knowledge of audience segmentation, lead generation, and data mining a plus.
  • Overall marketing experience; a bonus if in an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
