Overview
This role leads retirement channel marketing for an investment/brokerage/trading employer. The position requires deep understanding of the retirement ecosystem and the ability to lead cross-functional marketing initiatives that span Broker-Dealer, RIA, retirement platforms, regional banks, and consulting distribution channels.
Responsibilities- Design, shape, and lead retirement channel marketing strategy aligned with firm-wide objectives and ensure integration across Broker-Dealer, RIA, retirement platforms, regional banks, and consulting distribution channels.
- Partner closely with National Accounts, Sales, Product, and senior leadership to translate growth objectives into targeted, actionable marketing strategies that strengthen advisor engagement and drive net new retirement channel flows.
- Oversee the development and execution of integrated, data-driven marketing campaigns that effectively position the organization’s retirement solutions across intermediary channels using segmentation, insights, and performance analytics.
- Collaborate with Insights and analytics partners to design and maintain a structured performance measurement framework, including advisor engagement metrics, segmentation performance, and campaign effectiveness.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Customer Growth, Creative, Digital, Content, Brand Marketing, and Compliance teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and brand-consistent marketing programs.
- Represent the organization’s brand internally and externally while building and maintaining strategic relationships with distribution partners and ensuring alignment on co-branded initiatives and enterprise-level marketing activity.
- Continuously refine marketing processes, tools, and workflows to improve scalability, efficiency, and alignment with enterprise marketing technology platforms.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors that drive results, foster a culture of collaboration, promote innovation, and support agility in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have 10+ years of investment/brokerage industry channel marketing experience, and must have worked as an employee for an investment/brokerage/trading employer (not a marketing agency).
- Director-level experience owning retirement asset management product channel marketing.
- Deep understanding of the retirement ecosystem, including how recordkeepers, advisors, and consultants evaluate and implement options across mutual funds, CITs, and separate accounts, and ability to translate technical distinctions into compliant, compelling marketing narratives.
- Collaborative, hands-on leadership; ability to lead and support initiatives beyond defined responsibilities.
- Results-driven, data-informed; ability to improve marketing effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative insights.
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills; ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Pluses: experience in retirement-focused distribution channels and with enterprise marketing technology platforms and analytics frameworks.
