We are a dynamic and fast‑growing agency at the forefront of the "Food is Medicine" field, providing over 1M medically tailored meals annually to clients and their families experiencing illness and food insecurity in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In addition, our work strongly focuses on supporting the regional local food system, delivering high‑quality nutrition education to the community, and hosting an on‑site food‑service workforce development program.

Community Servings seeks a dynamic and mission‑driven Major Gifts Officer to join our collaborative development team during an exciting period of growth. Reporting to the Director of Major and Planned Giving, the Major Gifts Officer will play a critical role in advancing Community Servings’ mission by securing philanthropic support from a portfolio of individuals.
This frontline fundraising position will manage an active portfolio of 100–125 major gift prospects and lead efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward five‑ and six‑figure gifts that fuel annual fundraising and strategic initiatives. The Major Gifts Officer will develop and execute personalized engagement strategies, partner with senior staff and volunteers on solicitations, and represent Community Servings at donor events and external functions.
The ideal candidate is a confident and goal‑oriented fundraiser with a proven track record of closing significant gifts, exceptional relationship‑building skills, and a passion for Community Servings’ mission.

- Manage an active portfolio of 100–125 major gift prospects, primarily comprised of individuals.
- Identify, qualify, and cultivate new major gift prospects, developing comprehensive strategies for solicitation and long‑term engagement.
- Directly solicit five‑ and six‑figure gifts and partner with senior staff and volunteers on solicitations by providing prospect briefings, strategic guidance, and donor communications.
- Develop and execute strategic donor engagement opportunities, including small gatherings for select prospects and larger stewardship events.
- Deliver a high‑quality donor experience through personalized correspondence, compelling proposals, and timely acknowledgements.
- Track and report on portfolio activity using Salesforce prospect management, ensuring accurate documentation of interactions, progress toward goals, and donor pipeline development.
- Represent Community Servings at external functions and events, serving as an ambassador for the mission.
- Collaborate with the Development Team to align major gift strategies with organizational priorities and fundraising goals.
