Research and identify prospective funders aligned with MMP's mission and strategic priorities.
Build and maintain relationships with foundation program officers, corporate giving representatives, and public-sector funders.
Proposal Development:
Write compelling letters of inquiry, grant proposals, sponsorship proposals, reports, and supporting materials. Ethically and responsibly use AI-enabled tools to enhance research, content development, and administrative efficiency while maintaining quality, accuracy, and originality of all work products. Partner with program staff to gather outcomes, budgets, stories, and evaluation data. Ensure all submissions accurately reflect organizational priorities and measurable impact.
Stewardship & Reporting:
Manage grant reporting schedules and ensure timely submission of all required reports. Develop stewardship plans that deepen relationships with institutional supporters. Coordinate site visits, meetings, presentations, and funder communications.
Corporate Partnerships:
Cultivate corporate partnerships and sponsorship opportunities by building relationships with business leaders, attending relevant networking events, and identifying opportunities to align corporate priorities with MMP's mission. Develop customized partnership proposals that align business objectives with MMP's mission. Work collaboratively with the Director of Development to grow long-term corporate relationships.
Strategy & Analysis:
Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar and institutional fundraising pipeline. Track proposal activity, deadlines, awards, and reporting requirements. Analyze fundraising performance and identify opportunities for portfolio growth. Monitor trends in philanthropy, education, workforce development, mentoring, and youth development.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with the Development Communications Specialist to develop compelling case statements, impact reports, and donor communications.
