Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – General Med Surg – 36 Hours – Rotating Days/Nights

Location: Med Surg – General Med Surg Unit, M6E, Boston, MA
Schedule: 36 hours per week (rotating days, nights, every other weekend and holiday)
Position Summary: As an RN on the Medical Surgical unit you will deliver exceptional patient care within a patient‑centered model. You will collaborate with the inter‑professional team, document and interpret data, and support quality improvement initiatives.
- Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education
- Communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter‑professional colleagues
- Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret computerized data/information
- Follow BMC nursing organization guidelines and policies
- Assist leadership in quality improvement projects as needed
Job Requirements:
- Licensed registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- 1+ year RN experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for certain units - Nursing degree:
Diploma, ASN, or BSN preferred; BSN within 4 years - Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty; certification required for certain practice areas
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
- Basic computer proficiency; fluency in another language a plus

Compensation Range: $38,050 – $75,330 per annum
