Job Summary

This position is a Monday–Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm role that serves as the Early Pregnancy and Family Planning Nurse Practitioner, providing specialized education, counseling, and support services to individuals and couples seeking reproductive health guidance, preconception planning, and early pregnancy care.

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, including complex medical and surgical diagnoses. The NP delivers comprehensive, patient‑centered care, promotes informed decision‑making and reproductive autonomy, and collaborates with clinical teams to ensure timely access to prenatal or reproductive health services.

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow‑up based on diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
• Consistently provides high‑quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
• Performs bedside procedures as appropriate to the patient population.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.

Education:

Master’s Degree in Nursing required.

Licenses and Credentials:
Registered Nurse (RN) with a state license;
Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a state license preferred.

• Experience as a nurse practitioner preferred (0‑1 year).
• Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings.
• Ability to maintain quality control standards.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.

• Minimum two years of reproductive or women’s health experience.
• Strong knowledge of contraceptive methods and reproductive health guidelines, excellent interpersonal and counseling skills.
• Bilingual experience in clinical, community health, or nonprofit settings preferred.
