Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room – Boston, MA

Assignment Start: 01/12/26
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week, 12-Hour Evening Shifts
Shift: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM (flexible start times 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM; can flex to day shifts starting at 7:00 AM if needed)

Call Requirements:

• Up to 4 call shifts per month

• Weekends and holidays required

• Short call: 2 hours after a shift once per week

• Weekend call: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM once a month

• Weeknight overnight call: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM if working day shifts once per week

• 20 Operating Rooms

• Surgical specialties include:

  • Orthopedics (Joint Replacements, Sports Medicine, Oncology)

  • Gynecology

  • General Surgery

  • Plastic Surgery

  • Interventional Pulmonology

Requirements:

• Massachusetts RN License required

• Minimum 1–3 years OR experience required

• Strong Orthopedic and Total Joint Surgery experience required

• Experience in GYN and General Surgery preferred

• Teaching hospital and specialty area experience preferred

Position Overview:
The OR RN provides perioperative care for patients undergoing a wide variety of surgical procedures. Responsibilities include patient assessment, preparation, intraoperative support, and post-operative care. The RN must demonstrate flexibility with shift times and call assignments while delivering safe, high-quality patient care.
