The Director of Research Nursing, Inpatient provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for all oncology-related clinical trials conducted within the inpatient setting and for some ambulatory research teams. This role oversees clinical research operations, ensures adherence to regulatory and ethical standards, and collaborates with physicians, investigators, and interdisciplinary staff to support protocol implementation, patient safety, and protocol integrity through high-quality data collection.

The nurse director develops and maintains inpatient operational workflows, manages research resources, and drives quality improvement initiatives to enhance trial efficiency and patient outcomes. Additionally, this leader serves as a key liaison between ambulatory clinical research operations and inpatient oncology care, fostering a culture of excellence, compliance, and innovation in oncology research.
