Mass General Brigham invites qualified certified registered nurse anesthetists to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital Main Campus, Boston, MA (Onsite).
Job SummaryMassachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is currently hiring qualified CRNA’s to work at our Main Campus in Boston, MA. This advanced practice position offers interested individuals the opportunity to develop their clinical skills with a dynamic anesthesia team in a large, academic medical center with a rich history and strong medical school affiliation.
Responsibilities- Provide anesthesia services to all patients in the organization.
- Review patient medical history, administer and manage anesthesia, and monitor patients during procedures or throughout the peri‑operative period.
- Maintain documentation and registration as a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist).
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and the integrated care team model.
- Contribute to orientation and training, and participate in regular check‑ins to support new graduate CRNAs.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and stay up‑to‑date with best practices in the field of anesthesia.
- Education:
Master’s Degree in Nurse Anesthesia Practitioner required. - Licenses and Credentials:
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) required;
Massachusetts Registered Nurse preferred. - Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). - Experience:
Experience as a CRNA or new graduate (0‑1 year) preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, biochemistry, chemistry, physics, and pharmacology as related to anesthesia.
- Foreign language skills desired.
- Demonstrated clinical competence within the scope of practice standards set by the department.
- Comfortable in fast‑paced, team‑based care setting; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
- Ability to keep up with best practices, interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Skilled in taking medical histories and interpreting findings.
- Ability to maintain quality control standards and react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Starting payrate: $270,000 annually.
- Sign‑on bonus: $40,000.

Job Components- Place IVs, A‑lines and central lines, and perform spinals, epidurals, fiber optic intubations and occasional regional blocks.
- Handle a wide variety of cases including trauma, burns, general surgery, orthopedics, neurology, vascular, thoracic, electrophysiology, endoscopy, interventional radiology, and pediatrics.
- Collaborate with expert clinicians in the OR (providers, nurses, surgeons).
- Some of our sites offer regional and cardiac anesthesia.
- Work synergistically with our anesthesiologists in a care team model.
