Travel RN - Operating Room - Pediatric

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of OR experience and required Trauma Level I facility experience.

• Active MA RN license required
• BLS required, PALS required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Trauma Level I facility experience required
• Trauma Level II facility experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Pediatric craniofacial/oral/plastics experience required
• Cleft lip/cleft palate repair experience preferred
• Previous travel experience required unless candidate has experience in a similarly sized or acuity OR
• Two professional references required, verified from 2 of the last 3 places worked at different facilities

• Main Operating Room setting within a pediatric hospital
• High acuity pediatric surgical cases including craniofacial, oral, and plastics procedures
• Performs cleft lip/cleft palate repairs
• Covers Pediatric General OR, Pediatric ENT, and tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy cases
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:00 PM
• Short call required up to 3 times every six weeks from 5:15 PM to 7:15 PM
• Up to 4 on-call shifts every six weeks
• Up to 1 weekend shift and 1 weekend call shift every six weeks
• Holiday shift and call coverage required as needed by the unit
• Provide high-acuity perioperative nursing care to pediatric surgical patients
• Charge nurses provide advance notice regarding likely short-call needs at the end of shifts
• Local candidates accepted within a 50 mile radius at a lower rate differential
