The Role of Advanced Practice Providers at MGBCIAdvanced Practice Providers are integral to the mission and future growth of the Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute. As key members of multidisciplinary oncology teams, APPs care for patients across every stage of the cancer journey and in a variety of care settings. They play a critical role in enhancing access to care, supporting program growth, and delivering exceptional patient-centered oncology care.

Medical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)
Join a supportive and growing Medical Oncology Advanced Practice team supporting the Mass General Cancer Center across our Boston academic medical centers and network locations.

Our team provides comprehensive care for patients with both hematologic malignancies and solid tumor cancers, combining evidence-based medicine, clinical innovation, and compassionate care. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is passionate about oncology and thrives in a collaborative academic environment.

Working closely with attending oncologists and multidisciplinary colleagues, you will manage a consistent panel of patients while partnering with the broader oncology team to ensure seamless, high-quality care throughout treatment and survivorship.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations.
• Develop, implement, and manage treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Coordinate diagnostic testing, review laboratory, pathology, and radiology results, and communicate findings to patients.
• Manage oncology patients receiving local and systemic therapies.
• Monitor treatment response, address complex symptom management needs, and ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and supportive care needs.
• Write orders and manage therapies in accordance with current clinical guidelines and institutional standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Support access to care through effective coordination of appointments, testing, and follow-up services.
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice efforts.
• Serve as a clinical resource and educator for staff, patients, and families.
