American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong ortho/total joints experience for a 13-week evening shift assignment requiring an active MA RN license.
Details- Work in a 20-room Operating Room suite on the East Campus
- Surgical caseload includes Gynecology, General, Urology, Robotics, Oncology, Orthopedics (Joint Replacements, Sports Medicine, Oncology), Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, and Interventional Pulmonology
- 10-hour evening rotating shifts with start times of 9am, 11am, or 3pm, with ability to flex to a 7am day start
- Call requirements include 2 short calls and 2 weekend/weeknight calls per 4-week schedule
- Short call is 2 hours after a shift, weekend call covers 7a-7p or 7p-7a once a month
- Overnight weeknight call (7p-7a) required once per week when working day shifts
- 13-week assignment at 40 hours per week
- Active MA RN license required in hand
- 1-3 years of related OR experience required
- Strong experience in Ortho and Total Joints, Gynecology, and General surgery required
- Experience in a teaching hospital setting preferred
- Specialty area expertise preferred
- Proof of Flu vaccination required during flu season
- Provide perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties
- Orientation occurs weekly, typically every Monday barring holidays
- Hiring manager will conduct interviews and extend offers directly
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates will not be accepted
- Previous BIDMC or Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning
- COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
- Parking near the facility can cost up to $43 per day
- RTO requests must be finalized prior to consideration for the role
