School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN Boston, Massachusetts

Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting a student as a dedicated one-to-one nurse throughout the  school year. In this role, you’ll make a true difference in a student's day-to-day school experience. You will begin each morning by meeting the student at her home, accompanying her on the bus to school, and providing the same support on the return route. Your care and skill will help a student attending the Beverly School for the Deaf thrive - she is living with Type I Diabetes and is deaf, so your expertise and compassionate approach are vital.

• Hold an active Massachusetts LPN or RN license
• Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience, ideally in a school or pediatric setting
• Proficient in diabetes management and care for children with medical complexities
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with deaf students, families, and school staff
• Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable; able to manage care independently
• Available for a full-time schedule from ASAP until June 18, 2027 (Monday-Friday, 7:45am-2:55pm)

• Provide comprehensive nursing care and diabetes management for an individual student
• Support the student during transportation to and from school
• Monitor and respond to medical needs throughout the school day
• Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers for consistent and thorough support
• Maintain clear documentation of care and medication administration

This position offers the opportunity to form a close connection with a student, positively impacting her education and wellbeing while working regular school-day hours on a contract basis.
