Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – PICU
Location: Boston, MA
Employment Type: Per Diem
Pay Rate: $70 - $75
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse for a per diem opportunity. The successful candidate will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill children, monitor their conditions closely, and work with the healthcare team to deliver safe, compassionate, family-centered care.
Responsibilities- Assess pediatric patients and monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in clinical condition.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to medical orders.
- Monitor critically ill children and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients’ families about treatment plans and ongoing care needs.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and nursing documentation.
- Follow infection-control procedures and patient-safety standards.
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of acute-care pediatric PICU experience
- At least 1 year of Epic EHR experience
. - Current BLS certification.
- Current PALS certification.
- ACLS certification as required for the position.
- Strong critical-thinking, assessment, and emergency-response skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients.
