Quality Control Inspector II | Kingston, MA
Metric Geo is partnering with a specialist US manufacturer to hire a Quality Control Inspector II for its facility in Kingston, Massachusetts.
This is a hands‑on quality position responsible for ensuring manufactured components consistently meet internal, customer and industry quality standards. The role will work closely with Production and Engineering while supporting the organization's ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality
requirements.
The Role- Conduct visual, dimensional and functional inspections across raw materials, in‑process components and finished products
- Perform detailed in‑process and final inspections using precision measurement equipment
- Utilize CMMs, calipers, micrometers, gauges and other inspection tools
- Identify and quarantine non‑conforming products and support corrective actions
- Assist with root cause analysis and CAPA investigations
- Analyze inspection data to identify quality trends and improvement opportunities
- Maintain and calibrate quality inspection equipment
- Support ISO 9001 / AS9100 documentation and compliance
- Assist with internal and external quality audits
- Work closely with Production and Engineering to drive continuous improvement
- 1–3+ years of Quality Control / Inspection experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with precision measurement and inspection equipment
- Familiarity with CMM inspection
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100
- Understanding of SPC and root cause analysis methodologies
- Experience identifying and managing non‑conforming products
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or continuous improvement is beneficial
- ASQ/CQI certification or Six Sigma Green Belt would be advantageous
