Lead Quality Engineer

Quest Defense seeks experienced
Quality Engineers to support operations in Lynn, Massachusetts. Assignments include daily shop quality support, first article inspection review, and corrective-action implementation and validation.

Location: Onsite in Lynn, MA.

Citizenship: Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop inspection plans and select appropriate inspection methods and measurement equipment.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, tolerances, and customer inspection requirements.
• Prepare and review FAI, in-process, and final inspection records, maintaining traceability.
• Investigate quality issues using structured root-cause analysis.
• Track overdue FAI and QEM actions, verify implementation and effectiveness using objective evidence, and coordinate read-across across applicable parts, processes, and programs.
• Support audits, customer quality requirements, and applicable aerospace standards.
• Maintain action status and elevate unresolved issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 3 years of aerospace and defense quality experience.
• Experience with inspection planning, FAI documentation, drawing interpretation, and corrective actions.
• Clear communication, accurate documentation, and ability to work independently on site.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
• GE Aerospace quality experience, including SPS and the applicable corrective-action system.
• Experience reducing FAI backlogs and recurring quality escapes.
