The Center for Immuno‑Oncology (CIO) of the Dana‑Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) is seeking a research scientist to join the Tissue Biomarker Laboratory (TBL). The laboratory is dedicated to the development and implementation of spatial analyses to study the tumor immune microenvironment in biopsies from patients undergoing immunotherapy treatments. The TBL carries out multiplex immunofluorescence workflows using Akoya and Lunaphore platforms and performs computational analyses to interpret these data.
The research is highly collaborative with a wide range of investigators across DFCI Disease Centers and other institutions to address their experimental questions. Many studies seek to identify biomarkers of response or resistance to immunotherapy using spatial biology analyses (see (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). for more detail).

PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include initiating and managing research projects, overseeing data collection and analysis, and working with the Principal Scientist and Faculty Director to prepare manuscripts and research proposals.
Research projects will be collaborative studies involving extensive interactions with histopathology staff, research technicians, biomedical researchers, pathologists, clinicians, bioinformaticians, and data scientists.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Experience working with teams and managing technicians is preferred.
- Moderate skills with high level of proficiency. May consult with senior peers on general projects.
PhD in a biomedical‑related discipline, such as immunology, biomedical engineering, and/or cancer biology, and experience in quantitative microscopy or computational data analysis.

Pay Transparency StatementThe hiring range is based on market pay structures, with individual salaries determined by factors such as business needs, market conditions, internal equity, and based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. For union positions, the pay range is determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Salary: $80,000.00 – $95,900.00.
