Salary Grade: 44 (Approx. $20.13–$25.40 hourly basis)
The Research Assistant will support an NIH-funded research study on the impact of psychosocial stress and cardiorespiratory fitness on brain health and mental health in Black emerging adult college/university students. Responsibilities include conducting informed consent and screening, providing technical support (including maintaining minor equipment), organizing and archiving datasets, data collection (cardiorespiratory fitness testing, collecting and analyzing actigraphy data, assisting with structured interview on mental health, trauma history, perceived discrimination), and assisting with tasks related to community engagement as needed.
The candidate will work closely with the postdoctoral fellow.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years of experience in an academic research setting. Experience working with a diverse research team and interacting with diverse groups of research participants. This position may be well‑aligned with individuals considering future doctoral study, given the research exposure and technical work involved.
