Clinical Research, Data Scientist
The Center for Clinical Spectroscopy, located at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Department of Radiology, is seeking a part time research assistant needed for the support of clinical and research studies utilizing magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Primary responsibilities include assisting with data acquisition in human clinical studies, analysis of MRS results, and assisting with grant or abstract/paper submissions. Secondary roles will be to assist with bioinformatics related work including data harmonization, data processing, and database development and maintenance.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
- Oversee MR spectroscopy data acquisition, transfer, and archiving in accordance with study protocol and maintain subject confidentiality.
- Use computers to perform varied forms of analysis of statistical data.
- Assist with data processing and analysis using non-conventional software developed in-house.
- Assist with the maintenance of the data post-processing software pipeline, specifically assist with compliance with information systems policies.
- Perform de-identification of all files and forms and maintain results in a secured protected environment.
- Make tabular formats, fact sheets, graphs and reports on each of the research results in order to summarize them.
- Proof-read the data that has been researched and added in tables for any mistakes and correct them if any.
- Handle the clerical work like data entry and others which are essential for completion of the project.
- Exhibit the results of the research experiments to groups of people.
- Assist in preparation of presentations, manuscripts, and project related topics.
- Look into the different requirements of the research experiments and collect whatever is needed.
- Bachelor's Degree Science required
- New grad with some relevant coursework 0-1 year preferred

- Computer literacy, including database tools.
- Ability to follow directions and exhibit professionalism.
