Role
Computational Chemist in Vertex's Drug Design group, focusing on hit/lead identification and optimization using molecular modeling, cheminformatics, data science, and AI.
Responsibilitiesapply computational methods to accelerate drug discovery, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, develop new workflows, and enhance computational capabilities.
Qualifications- Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry or related field;
- 0-3 years' experience;
- expertise in structure-based drug design, AI tools, Python scripting, and familiarity with drug discovery concepts.
- focus on small molecules, biologics, or gene therapies; early to late-stage development;
- cross-functional collaboration with Chemistry, Biology, DMPK, Structural Biology;
- emphasis on innovative AI applications.
hybrid or on-site in Boston, with flexible work arrangements.
