Bar Volpe – Line Cooks
James Beard award winner Karen Akunowicz’s second South Boston restaurant Bar Volpe, awarded a Bib Gourmand by Michelin, is searching for Line Cooks. Salary starts at $20+ an hour inclusive of kitchen appreciation and wine education.
Chef Akunowicz’s restaurant emphasizes Southern Italy with a pasta shop and wood‑fired grill. The cuisine is traditional Italian with a modern hand and a wine and beverage program to match.
Ideal candidates pride in their work, cook from the heart, and genuinely love to take care of guests. Previous Italian cuisine experience appreciated but not required. Uncompromising work ethic, attention to detail, and cleanliness required.
Responsibilities- Work directly with Chef Akunowicz and Chef de cuisine Molly Dwyer daily to create a warm and welcoming place to work and dine.
- Support Bar Volpe’s world class pasta program and culinary education.
- Maintain kitchen appreciation, wine education, and quality standards.
- Part‑time experience in a line cook role preferred.
- Strong understanding of traditional Italian cuisine appreciated.
- Uncompromising work ethic, attention to detail, and cleanliness.
- Ability to cook from the heart and take care of guests.
