Overview
To stock merchandise on shelves and displays throughout the department in a careful, clean, neat and expedient manner; ensuring that all product is fresh, rotated and well stocked for our customers.
Minimum Qualifications - Must be at least 18 years of age
- Complete training in the grocery operation
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Must have a sense of urgency
- Capable of following verbal directions
- Must be able to read and write English adequately
- Ability to speak, understand and follow English instructions
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
Maintain security of the store overnight and keep accurate records (such as time‑lock log, night crew purchase report, receiving paperwork/pallet control, and pieces count sheets)Commit to the “Golden Rule” and work with other associates to build a strong night crew teamAchieve the highest associate morale in the industry by working in a style that is Respectful, Supportive and Totally Team Oriented (RSTO)Ensure the preparation of the grocery department for the next day’s business; ordering to fill shelves, stocking neatly, pricing accurately, and cleaning upEffectively control proper storage limiting shrink and damaged goodsControl and notify grocery manager of potential shrink problems (damaged or missing merchandise; check loads carefully when receiving), product availability problems, potential security problems, and refrigeration checks)Monitor cooler and display area temperatures to ensure product quality; report refrigeration failure immediatelyEnsure company standards of safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity are achievedPractice the “Cleaner’s Creed” and proper sanitation proceduresOrder, receive, and unload deliveries; store, price, date, rotate, and stock product and prepare product for display and saleKeep all grocery products in display cases, coolers and freezers rotated in accordance with company policy and product code dates and always use the oldest products first (first in, first out)Ensure shelves are clean as they are restockedMake sure that all shelves and displays are blocked and straightenedMinimize payroll expense (including overtime) by maintaining minimum piece count standards of 235 cases per night, per personEnsure sales and work area are swept clean, orderly, and free from safety hazards; report hazards to managementExercise proper safety practices when lifting or moving product or using equipmentBe sure to operate and clean department equipment and toolsSecondary Job Functions

Hiring Range: In accordance with MA Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the hiring range for this position. At Roche Bros., we carefully consider a wide range of non‑discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to education, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. The hiring range for this position is $19.40 - $25.20 per hour.
